  • A LEVEL RESULTS - ANOTHER RECORD BREAKING YEAR

Students at Swanwick Hall School are yet again celebrating record A Level results.

The average point score per student of 751 is the highest that the school has ever seen, up 65 points from 2013. There were also very strong increases in the numbers of students achieving the highest grades of A* and A, with several students securing these grades in all of their subjects.

Understandably, with such a strong set of results across Year 13, there were scenes of delight when students opened their results this morning.

Jake Bennett was over the moon at having achieved 3 A*s.  “I’m going on to study Physics at Nottingham and now I’ve got my results, I can’t wait to start”.  Cara Turton-Chambers was speechless with delight.  She will be going to Oxford to study Geography having been awarded 2 A*s and an A.

Headteacher Jonathan Fawcett said: “We are once again delighted that our students have achieved such wonderful results. This is a tremendous reward for the hard work and dedication that the students have shown to their courses, as well as the support and guidance of our staff.”  The overwhelming majority of students who have applied to university have secured their first choice places,

Students will now relocate to cities across Britain, including Oxford, Edinburgh, Durham, Nottingham and Sheffield to study a variety of courses including Maths, Physics, Natural Sciences, English Literature, History, Business Studies, Theatre and International Relations.

The school has worked hard to develop links with Oxbridge Colleges to support local students in securing places at the top universities and four have been successful with applications in the last three years.
