Swanwick Hall School is a fully comprehensive and inclusive secondary school, committed to enabling all young people within our local community to achieve their full potential in the broadest sense. We place children at the heart of our school and aim to provide them with the opportunities that will allow them to see and believe in their own potential in order to ensure success.
Working in partnership, we have high expectations of our students in terms of appearance, punctuality, behaviour, effort, attitude to work and contribution to the school community. In return, we provide opportunities, experiences, learning and qualifications, safety and security, self-esteem, a voice in the school and a sense of ownership and belonging.
We work closely with the feeder schools in our cluster to provide a coherent education from the age of 3 to 18 years, building on strengths already developed and getting to know our prospective students before they join us.
We believe in involving parents in their children’s education as much as possible, recognising that a strong partnership between our students, you as parents and our staff is the most effective way of achieving our shared aims.
Our school is a vibrant learning community and can best be appreciated through a visit. Our prospectus is designed to give you a flavour of what Swanwick Hall School is about. If you want to find out more, please visit our website, come to our Annual Open Evening in September or arrange a visit during the school day.
At Swanwick Hall School we believe in young people and are confident that we can provide a first-class education to prepare them for life in the twenty-first century.
Whilst the school's Grade II listed buildings may represent long standing traditions, its modern buildings such as the Humanities Faculty, Dining Hall and newly opened Music and ICT buildings reflect a site which is constantly being upgraded to meet modern educational demands.
Swanwick Hall is a successful school with extensive community links, which have been enhanced by its Technology College and Training School status as well as its strong university links.
The school offers an excellent all round education in an environment where all members of its community are valued as individuals. They are encouraged to excel at their strengths and learn from other areas as a means of preparation for life.
