Important Documents

Information for candidates

Swanwick Hall School understands that taking exams can be a stressful period for students and parents/carers. It is important that everyone involved in this process is as informed as possible regarding the expectations of the exam boards. The information on this page is intended to inform you about examination rules and procedures. These documents will provide clear guidance from the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ). It is strongly advised that students and parents read them carefully to ensure that students are not in breach of regulations.

If you require further support, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Perry the school’s Examinations Officer.

Students are asked to watch this video prior to sitting any exams. It is important to understand that being in possession of a mobile phone, or any other electronic device, during an exam is likely to be classed as malpractice. The exam boards take cases of suspected malpractice very seriously and the probable outcome is disqualification from the exam meaning students will receive zero marks.

The school advises students to leave their mobile phones at home on exam days.

Swanwick Hall School has an 'Internal Assessment & Appeals Policy' covering all internally completed assessments. This is policy is available, by request, from the school's Exams Office:
